We grow and cut stones in our own factory
Tairus Created Gems grows rough material in its own factories, cuts faceted stones in-house and keeps calibrated stock in standard shapes and sizes. The main product is the created emerald, offered in Regular color or Colombian color.
Regular color
The first and most common Tairus created emerald, produced since 1989. A deep-green color parallel to the emeralds found in Zambia, home of the world’s largest emerald mine, reproducing both the aesthetics and the chemical composition of a Zambian emerald.
Colombian color
Introduced in 2006 to replicate the elegant light-green hue, associated with low-alkaline deposits that produce fine Colombian emeralds

Our created emeralds are produced using four types of sustainable systems — the core of the company’s philosophy. Customers buy directly from the source, with no intermediaries, and know exactly where the product comes from and how it is made.
Energy system
Solar arrays are installed across the factory roof.

Water is supplied by on-site deep ground well.
Waste system
We utilize state of the art waste management facility.

A closed, factory-based process keeps emissions minimal to none.
What am I buying?
Am I really buying a created emerald?
With many imitation stones on the market, the words “lab created” are often misused. In favour of the seller, the buyer receives a completely different product while believing he bought a genuine created emerald at an amazing price. The terminology tells you most of what you need to know.
“Lab Created Nanocrystal Emerald”
Two contradicting terms. A nanocrystal is glass-based and classified as an imitation stone; a created emerald is a lab-grown emerald. Sellers place the words together to mislead.
“AAA Rated Lab Created Emerald”
A letter-rating scale borrowed from imitation material is a strong sign the stone is not a genuine created emerald.
Prices that seem impossible
Growing an emerald hydrothermally takes weeks. A calibrated created emerald sold for a few dollars per carat is almost certainly glass or a simulant.
